Caregiver Support & Respite
One of our core program areas is Caregiver Support. A caregiver is anyone who provides care to another individual. It can include spending time, providing meals, transportation and assistance with daily activities. Many, but not all, caregivers are family members. A person can have more than one caregiver in their life.
Helping Hands Outreach Caregiver Support program includes our caregiver support visits, counseling and advice and healthy visits. In-home respite care is designed for individuals who are caring for a loved one and need a break. We use both staff and volunteers who are willing to stay with a person in order for the caregiver to have a break or tend to business. All our staff and volunteers undergo necessary training, background and reference checks to ensure safety and reliability.
If you, or someone you know, are a caregiver and need support or respite please contact us at (320) 746- 9960.

Our services are provided based on the availability of volunteers. All our volunteers have successfully passed required background checks and reference checks. Fees for services are determined on a sliding scale relative to income or through the Alternative Care/ Elderly Waiver programs administered by Stearns County. No one will be denied services due to an inability to pay. We believe you appreciate these services and will contribute as you can, whenever you are able.
Our services are available to all eligible individuals, regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
We are dedicated to serving all residents, regardless of their financial situation. What matters most is that you receive the necessary services.
