Our Services
Helping Hands is committed to identifying and accessing community resources available to older adults and their family caregivers. Our team of dedicated volunteers can provide non-medical, in-home services. For ongoing services such as transportation, friendly visiting, and housekeeping, you will be matched with volunteers who best meet your needs.
Some Helping Hands services are provided on a cost-sharing basis, which means that the amount each person pays depends on their individual situation and financial ability. We are dedicated to working with each person to ensure that fees are manageable and that everyone receives the help they need. While we encourage contributions to sustain our programming, no one will be turned away due to an inability to pay.
Fees for services are necessary to cover the expenses of running the program, including coordinating volunteers and paying for operational costs like utilities. As mentioned, no one will be turned away because of an inability to pay.
Our mission is to help older adults and adults with disabilities live safely in their homes for as long as possible. We believe that by providing affordable assistance with the challenges they face at home, older adults can remain in their homes longer, delaying the need for costly alternatives like assisted living or nursing facilities. The idea is simple: investing a little now can lead to significant savings later.
